中国外运长航集团有限公司（简称中国外运长航）由中国对外贸易运输（集团）总公司与中国长江航运（集团）总公司于2009年3月重组成立，总部设在北京。中国外运长航是国务院国资委直属管理的重要国有骨干企业之一，是以综合物流、航运和船舶工业为主营业务的大型国际化现代企业集团。
其中，综合物流业务包括：海、陆、空货运代理、船务代理、供应链物流、快递、仓码、汽车运输等，是中国最大的国际货运代理公司、最大的航空货运和国际快件代理公司、第二大船务代理公司。航运业务包括：船舶管理、干散货运输、石油运输、集装箱运输、滚装船运输、燃油贸易等，拥有和控制各类船舶运力达1800余万载重吨，是我国第三大船公司、我国内河最大的骨干航运企业集团、我国唯一能实现远洋、沿海、长江、运河全程物流服务的航运企业。船舶工业形成以船舶建造和修理、港口机械、电机产品为核心的工业体系，在国内外享有知名声誉。其它主要业务还包括：旅游、科研院校、房地产等。
2008年，中国外运与中国长航两大集团主营业务收入946亿元，截至2008年底，资产总额为1004亿元。中国外运长航控股三家A股上市公司、两家香港上市公司，下属境内企业1000余家，境外企业100余家，网络范围覆盖了全国30个省、自治区、直辖市，以及香港、韩国、日本、加拿大、美国、德国等境外地区，与400多家知名的境外运输与物流服务商建立了业务代理和战略合作伙伴关系。

SINOTRANS was established with the merging of China National Foreign Trade Transportation (Group) Corporation (“SINOTRANS”) and China Changjiang National Shipping (Group) Corporation (“CSC”) in March 2009. The headquarters is located in Beijing. SINOTRANS is one of the key state-owned enterprises operating under the direct administration of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. The revenue from the main businesses of SINOTRANS in 2008 totaled RMB94.6 billion and the total assets reached RMB100.4 billion by the end of 2008. Currently, SINOTRANS has developed into a corporation with three A-share listed companies, and two companies listed at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. Under it, there are more than 1,000 domestic companies and over 100 companies established in other countries. Its business covers 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China, as well as Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Canada, U.S. and Germany. Additionally, SINOTRANS has established agency relationship and strategic cooperation partnership with over 400 noted foreign transport and logistics suppliers.
